I'm so thankful they continue to give us new music. They really are the best band on the planet.. their track record is unimpeachable.. They have never let me down once, and I already know they won't be letting me down with Private Music. I can tell they are excited and proud of what they've made. I can't fucking wait to hear it.

I'm just so thankful we all get to experience another album release. I try not to take any of these for granted. I remember my mom buying me self titled on release day from Best Buy and I was so pissed the album was overshadowed by Staind's 14 Shades of Gray. 

dude same, i remember staind releasing around same time if not the same and it was more commercially received

There's no feeling quite like this. This will be my 8th time waiting on new Deftones to leak. My favorite band ever. Well, my favorite anything ever other than my family.

The anticipation of wondering if it's going to come out in a few minutes, or maybe a few more days. It's hard to focus on anything else, but I love it.

No idea how many more times we will get this feeling. I was 16 when WP dropped. During the weeks leading up, I drew the new logo, alternate album covers, and my school notebooks had the song titles (even the leaked ones that ended up being changed. Knife Prty at the Niko should have stayed as the name)

Here I am now, at 41 years old. I'm literally just as excited as I was when I was 16. I have been for every single album cycle, like so many of you. This is the only place in the entire internet I feel like I can say these things without people thinking I'm a complete lunatic. I know my posts are long and I am very sorry. But luckily people can just scroll past it

Well said! I feel ya. I'm 38 here, and as I get older it sucks that we get less excited for things - but new Deftones is the last thing that still gets me excited like a little kid on Christmas Eve. I've got friends that like Deftones, but no one is hyper-fixated on them like I've been for 25 years.. They were my favorite band when I first heard them when I was like 14 and they've remained my favorite band the entire time. And thank god they don't suck lmao I guess I had really good taste for a 14 year old because its really paid off being on this ride for year after year, album after album

Ditto man. This place is dead until album time but it's so much fun being on here reading everyone's connection to the band. Appreciate everyone on here both old and new. Always enjoy taking the ride with everyone!

Btw I've been coming to SL for probably over 15-20 years. Way back in the deftones world days. This account is newer but I consider this place the center for legitimate fans. Love you guys

Its always darkest before the dawn. Someone had physical copies in their hands a few hours ago. It's inevitable at this point. But I agree, I'm no spring chicken anymore, and staying up til 1am waiting for a drop is harder to do than it was even 5 years ago lol
