Quote from: Inkblades on Apr 09, 2025, 02:28 AMI go back and forth with that. Maybe they are bored by it, but at the same time, the $$$ they made on this tour might be too good to just walk away from. Or maybe they stop putting albums out after this one and just become a permanent arena band. They realistically could just that do for the rest of their careers. Most of the fans probably don't want to hear new stuff at shows anyway, they want Change and Sextape.

I also still think releasing Eros will be their swan song.

Very possible.

Touring and the old songs are where the money has been since the resurgence obviously.. The streams for the last two albums pale to their older work. I wonder if there is pressure from the label to make a more "streamable" album? The boys would probably be really fucking turned off by any kind of outside influence on what their music should sound like. But.....I'd bet money whenever the first single drops, it will be the prettiest, dreamiest song on the album.

I pray we get Eros, or even whatever exists of it.. I genuinely do not care if some songs are fully done, while others have like, a verse completely vocally and then just instrumental the rest of the way. *That* would never happen. But a man can wish. I know Terry mentioned he wanted to finish it just in case Chino decided to do vocals. But I just don't know if Chino would be willing to go back to that period of time and try to force that music to resonate with him. Then again, I don't know Chino or any of these people so I do not know what they think lol.

Terry did say in a podcast that he was going back to finishing Eros for when they want to go back to it. So it's sitting on his computer and probably there band each have their own copies.

Not to be cringy, but I'll probably shed a few tears when they put Eros out.

Imagine if they debuted the new album live for the last show tonight and then dropped it tomorrow. That would certainly be a mic drop moment.

All im hoping for is just a droplet of information. At this point a new song seems like its gonna be really far off with the rumors that have been circulating around lately.

As for my thoughts about if this album will be their last, I dont think it would be because of their age or something like that. They outperform on stage, let alone in a studio. The only thing that could make this their last album is just outside factors, but if they wanted to keep going, they absolutely could. When we get there though, Eros and a second B-sides record are warranted for. I want those unreleased songs available as studio recordings, not some muffled live recordings like for example Melanie. In conclusion, my biggest hope rn is for everything to go as smooth as it can for the band, all things considered.

That'd be insane bro!

Turnstile dropped a new single along with a video and their album comes out in June and only started to teasing it with a billboard last week. Things could happen fast

Maybe the guy that said November was not bullshitting. By the second leg of touring they most certainly will have debut or released a single for this yet to be titled effort. I would like to know if Lance makes an appearance on the album. Screaming vocals, guitar playing, claps, snapping his fingers.

Will Fred play on the new record? is he just a hired hand touring bassist? Will this record be their "And Justice For All" No bass lol

Pretty sure they've all but confirmed Lance plays on the album in some capacity.

Of course Fred is playing on the new album. I don't understand what people don't understand. Fred is their new "permanent" bassist.

At this last concert of the tour, I at least want Chino to say something like, "We got a new record coming out, so stay tuned in the next couple months" or something like that.

Gonna throw my guess out. Either October 31st or November 7th will be the release date. Why? Day of the dead is Saturday November 1st - Sunday November 2nd.

Dia de Los Deftones on November 1st. Album release day before or week after.

Hope I'm wrong because I'm impatient like everyone else. But this makes sense. Throw out a single or two before leg 2 of the tour.

Their number of songs on ASCAP has changed from 113 to 112 a while back, and in the last day or so it's gone from 112 to 110... I wonder if they're just removing duplicate songs?

Assumption is the mother of all fuck ups. I'm sure Sergio assumed he had a permanent spot in the band...

And that is why permanent is in quotation marks

Welp im guessing no new shit for tonight, nothing on reddit, so we are either fucked till rodeskill-August 22nd, or we get something until then IF NOT
we are fucked

The window between them teasing the new album and its release is consistently about 3-4 months. All the snake stuff obviously seems to be tied to the new album, and there is the Roskilde article, but it seems to me as though something happened in the meantime that changed their plans completely. Everything is super up in the air rn which is why I'd kill for just an update on how the album is going. Doesn't need to be anything grandiose.

I find it kind of wild that they did a massive arena tour, and there are no interviews from journalist or radio stations in those big cities.
Throw your faith in me. I'll take you some place brand new....
