just watched mystic river.

amazing movie.

this was one of the saddest movies ive ever seen. not cry sad (only two movies have ever made me cry), but still that part at the end where tim robbins wife is looking for him at the parade was really sad

I watched [REC] for the first time last night after my boss told me about it a couple months ago. Pretty decent film - at first I thought it was gonna drag on cos the first 7 minutes or so were a bit tiresome but apart from that I loved it. There's a sequel coming out next year too, and an American shot for shot remake comes out this October called Quarantine.
too bad American remakes of any kind of movie completely suck about 97% of the time.

Hahaha I'll probably end up watching Quarantine at the pictures when it comes out anyway, but I'm not counting it on being better than the original :P

Saw Hancock today...it was ok. I think I like most everything Will Smith is in tho.

bright lights, big city

I'm sure i'll see it eventually, but his movies IMHO are really not that great. Independence Day and Men In Black are his best. Then Fresh Prince, even though that wasn't a movie

sweet! can't wait to see it.

Also caught Hellboy 2 last night.  Loved all of the creatures and it was fun to watch.  Thought it was a little more comical than the graphic novels(Mignolia has an amazing balance of dark humor and horror) but I'm always a Hellboy fan so it was pretty good.

Corleone

Is the new harold and kumar worth watching? I just downloaded it.

Haven't seen the newer one yet but heard the same thing.  It was the same director.  I really liked the original.

towards the end, does the girl shoot one of the guys, then the other guy finds the remote and rewinds that part as if it never happened?

Yes, the whole thing is about engaging the audience and breaking the fourth wall.
