hahaha my buddy and I at work today were just quoting the entire scene where the Dude's landlord is doing his interpretive dance thing.
"Arthur. Digby. Sellers. Ever hear of a show called Branded? Wrote 156 episodes, bulk of the series. Not exactly a light-weight. After the uhh-what-have-you, we'll meet Larry Sellers, should be a pushover, and then yes, Donnie, we can stop at the uhhh.....In and Out Burger."

The scene with the dance is the best "shut the fuck up donnie" in the whole picture. Walter is yelling while whispering. fucking genius.

i just saw a relatively unknown coen bros film called "Baron Fink"
its um, ok i guess,  kinda boring
but John Goodman is in it and as usual is fucking awesome

John is def in my top 5 fav actors

what the hell, lets do a top 5 fav actors and the films that made them

in no order:  John Goodman (The big lebowski, fallen, arachnophobia, o brother where art thou, raising arizona, roseanne),
Harrison Ford (star wars, indiana jones (minus the ass raped 4th), blade runner) ,
Brad Pitt (12 monkeys, fight club, true romance, burn after reading, seven, troy (yea i liked troy, wana fight about it?), Kalifornia),
Johnny Depp (From Hell, Blow, Donnie Brasco, Once upon a time in Mexico, the first Pirates)
Clive Owen (Closer, children of men, king arthur, sin city, shoot em up, all around badassery),

you dont like my list?  well fuck you,  let me see better
i drink your milkshake

bright lights, big city

I see nothing wrong with that list, except maybe swap out Clive Owen for Christian Bale (Machinist, Dark Knight, Equilibrium, The Prestige, 310 To Yuma, American Psycho)

barton fink*. very underrated movie.

top 5 favorite actors:

jeff bridges (lebowski, arlington road, the fisher king, tron, starman, iron man) - such an underrated actor.
sean penn (fast times at ridgemont high, carlito's way, u turn, mystic river, 21 grams, milk)
robert de niro (mean streets, taxi driver, raging bull, goodfellas, godfather part II, angel heart)
bill murray (ghostbusters, caddyshack, groundhog day, kingpin, lost in translation)
kurt russell (escape from new york, the thing, big trouble in little china, death proof)

honorable mention goes to:
joseph gordon-levitt (brick, mysterious skin, the lookout, killshot, 500 days of summer)

oh, and daniel day-lewis is amazing too.

and gary oldman.

and jack nicholson.

and kevin spacey.

haha.

bright lights, big city

haha awesome Theis, a top 10 would've been better. I thought of De Niro too, but add another awesome movie of his (in my opinion at least): Ronin. That movie is the tits.

And how the hell could I forget The Russell. And Oldman. Morgan Freeman too.

yea christian bale is a force, 3.10 is a truimph

and daniel day might be the best pure actor ever

and if your gona mention deniro dont forget heat, the deer hunter, meet the parents, jackie brown, and casino (among others)

this just in:  while doint a little research just now i found out that pacino, deniro, and val kilmer are getting back togerther for a HEAT remake! wow, that could be very interesting (or suck ass)

which leads me to Val Kilmer who i think is underrated and fuckin brilliant (the salton sea, wonderland, island of dr moreau, ghost and the darkness, willow, real genius, top gun, heat)

joseph gordon was even good on 3rd rock,  i saw 500 days, loved it, and have recently dloaded brick, which im about to watch

Definitely an underrated actor. Have you seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang? He's soooo hilarious in that flick.

Just watched The Wrestler.

Amazing movie. Rourke is simply spectacular.

I thought the ending was beautiful...the final shot was just "wow!".

Penicks

(500) Days of Summer

Good romantic movie. Didn't think it was that special though. The jumbled way of storytelling felt more like a gimmick.

Adam Resurrected

Suck my dick, Jeff Goldblum is pretty fucking awesome but did they ruin the ending on this one.

P-Star Rising

Lame documentary about a 9 year old rap sensation. Loads of obviously phony parts in it.

P.S. I Love You

Horrible chick flick.

Brick   -    sucked ass,   takes high school drama to the most absurd and asinine level imaginable

Outlander: slightly entertaining, but overall quite lame.

"coming into the nearness of distance"

bright lights, big city

State of Play: a phenominal movie (easily in my top 10 for the year) with one hell of a plot that kept me on the edge of my seat throughout. Definitely keeps you guessing for the entire 2 hours. For the most part, very good acting (Rachel McAdams, while beautiful, was the only questionable cast member). Affleck, Crowe, and Mirren were all good, and Jason Bateman had a few awesome scenes. If you love smart, political thrillers like Michael Clayton, you'll love this.

one weak

In The Name of the Father was great. Daniel Day Lewis is superb, but in this film he is certainly no Daniel Plainview.
