I know this is a question and everyone hates people who ask questions but does any one know any good recent i.e.09-2010 horror films, i watched the crazies yesterday and have a hankerin' for some horror.

Antichrist
Martyrs
Inside
[Rec]
The House of the Devil
Let the Right One In
Trick 'r Treat
Drag Me to Hell
Paranormal Activity (I personally thought it sucked, but hey, you might dig it)

i watched the strangers. i liked the suspense very much. it wasn't a typical slasher and i appreciated that.

i watched hot fuzz afterwards. dc andy cartwright and ds andy wainwright are brilliant!!!

hahaha, great flick. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's next project is the Adventures of Tintin, which I'm really anticipating, but I also can't wait for whatever they parody next with Edgar Wright.

i can never get over how the whole force thinks they're all "accidents." it's bloody hilarious. it's perfect for a comedy. it was nice seeing paddy considine in this. i'm a massive fan of him and his wife shane meadows.

oh, and anything with bill nighy in it is gold.

"you're making us look bad."

when paddy won the bafta for his short film dog altogether, he thanked his wife "shane meadows". he's made references to shane being his wife several times. it's a gag because they are awfully close. they're basically brothers.

meadows is in my top five favourite directors. i guess i kind of knew he was a dude.

Haha, alright then.

Kick Ass: 7 out of 10 good movie but not amazing or anything.
Chopping Mall: by all rights it should be a 1 out of 10 tops, but i'm giving it a 7 because of my own terrible taste. a good movie to watch drunk with friends and just tear apart.
The Stepfather: 0.5 out of 10. the scene with the main character crying on his bed to a puscifer song ruined my day.

The Incredibles - 6 out of 10. doesn't hold up as well as the other pixar movies but i still enjoy them all for the animation alone and honestly i do find myself laughing at them often enough.
