I saw this a while ago, but forgot to mention it...The Killer in Me with Casey Affleck.  What a load of shit.

I just finished watching it and I must concur. I didn't know Michael Winterbottom directed this until the film started, which was already a dead giveaway this film was going to be total shit. The guy is a total hack. The editing was awful. The pacing was too slow. The way the music was used in the film was cheesy and stupid. Winterbottom is a shit director and only knows the clichés. Yes, the film did take place in the 50's and maybe that's why some of the effects were campy. However, he could have done some really interesting things with the film yet he didn't.

I liked Casey Affleck's acting, but I felt it was a little too subtle for my liking. He should have been more deranged. Kate Hudson was a pleasant surprise and I actually liked her character a lot. But man, Jessica Alba. She should never act again. It's too painful and embarrassing watching her on the screen. She's pretty but that's all she is. She should just stick with what she knows: posing half naked on magazine covers, acting like a cock tease. Shit film.

Yeah - its a bummer...many times ive stumbled into watching a film, and as a result not really taken it in, and unfairly didnt like it, but with this I was excited to watch it, had set time aside, and was majorly let down.  Ah well.  On the flipside, just watched the Wackness last night, which i thoroughly enjoyed - there was an overriding sense of warmth about it...really found myself loving all the main characters.  Ben Kingsley is in it, which is reason enough to be honest, but the lead role is really well played by Josh Peck - an actor I must admit I was previously unfamiliar, but I will definitely check out his other stuff.  Everything worked well - the c hemistry, the humour...it was a movie where I really found myself wanting the best for everyone.  Cool memory-evoking soundtrack too.

I downloaded it. Pure brilliance. My favorite line (in the awesome Rutger Hauer voice): "Get your hands off me you demons! You're crushing my smokes!"

Haha, yeah that was awesome.

Loved the fact that Slick was played by the guy from Everwood. Haha!

bright lights, big city

and the fact that Slick and Ivan rocked the 80s-shades-Risky-Business look.

so this was pretty much just a porno. i thought it would have some sort of context...which it kind of did i suppose, but it's just a porno. generally speaking, it was boring. i was very much entertained by all the men and what they were able to, um, do though.

Is Netflix any good? My family is trying to decide between Satellite and Netflix. Does netflix get the most recent movies? Or is satellite the better option?

We would be streaming netflix through my xbox 360. I think the satellite quality would be better, am i right?

Good to hear.

On another note has anyone here seen Limitless yet? I have to say it was the best movie i've seen in a while.

i'm so glad. i'm such a fan of scream. i love the original for one reason and one reason only:

theis

Haha! He's great in that flick.

Seeing a Scream movie on the big screen was pretty nostalgic for me. The first Scream was the first horror flick I ever saw and I was only 13 when Scream 3 was in theatres. So it was awesome to finally see Ghostface slashing people up on the big screen.

The "killer reveal" will definitely be a love/hate thing. I loved it and thought it was clever...given the times we live in.

you're spot on. it's so nostalgic. i can never forget the opening scene of scream with drew barrymore. the best scene. scared the crap out of me. i haven't watched scream 2 and 3. i heard they weren't any good. i should probably check them out before i see scream 4.

the first scream film is embedded in my brain. i've watched it so many times.

eww, no. it's skeet ulrich. he's so much better looking than depp.

to be honest, depp was only attractive in edward scissorhands and cry baby. otherwise he's not very appealing.

Corleone

How can you be so big on Scream and not have seen the other two? I liked them all...

blixa

i'm personally not big on sequels. they have disappointed me more often than usual.

Inkblades

The entire Scream series is highly overrated. It's not real horror.

bright lights, big city

I appreciate that Craven helped make the horror genre popular. That said, he's overrated.

It's not real horror.

None of the Scream movies were ever meant to be straight up horror. They've always been very self-aware about that.
