i totally agree man, to me its their darkest, most progressive, poppy yet incredibly mellow album yet....

i'm starting to understand the closer of the album now and it's just just amazing. there's this repetitive riff that chino sings to for half the song, no verse or chorus it's just keeps on going. then in the middle of the song, steph begins to play the riff backwards while chino continues to sing the same melody which is the wierdest thing ever. then the last minute it gets real heavy like in royal and chino begins to sing the melody backwards too, this while he sounds like an ancient evil witch, which is strange because at the same time it sounds very spacey and futuristic, love the effects on his voice. best ending of a record i've ever heard

I can see how some would find the first part of the song boring, but it all makes sense if you listen to the whole song a couple of times. Everyone want deftones to evolve on each record, but when they do, people get all mad anyway.  They just can't win no matter what they do

I like Dark Destiny and Facundah, I think they're the best. Also Car Window reminds me a bit of BQAD and Passenger, but thats just me I guess.

obviously an early ystb version. the verse is very much like the d.e version but the chorus is way different, less poppy and a whole lot darker vibe.
i do prefer this underground version, certainly wouldn't be a single if they kept this version on d.e. frank's spooky intro is the shit.. a little like what he did in fireal i think. i also like that this version is almost 3 minutes longer

Ronin Stones is such an awesome song!! The electronic kick and snare and the creepy synth fit perfectly with the chopped guitars and then the chorus kicks in and it becomes such an epic space trip!!!this blew me away!!

That artwork is actually from a person who used to post on here who made fake websites for both SNW and Eros and tried to pass them off as official. Not really that different from what's going on in this thread right now. I doubt he actually made that painting, though. He probably found it somewhere and photoshopped DeftonesEROS on top of it.

ah, emotional scars from the past, that explains it. i really do think being silly and fooling around is way different from serious internet fraud, that's on another level. i don't think people were up all night searching for "car window"
