Not sure if anyone has seen this video of Roller Derby. The quality is pretty stellar in my opinion. I am actually enjoying this song a little more now that I can hear some of the more subtle sounds.

Deftones - Roller Derby New Song Live (1080HD Sound Quality)

I hope I put this in the right place. Should it have gone in the songs played live/youtube videos etc. thread?

Playing the same setlist during all tour would make sense 15, 20 years ago when people didn't have easy access to what was being played in other gigs of the same tour but now with message boards, youtube, setlist.fm, etc.

It kinda sucks some of my favourite bands doing that like Iron Maiden, Depeche Mode, The Prodigy, playing the same setlist during all the tour or the same 10/15 songs every tours, sure it needs to have some hit songs, because that's what most people are expecting when they're coming to see them, but mixing up a lil bit, adding the element of surprise it's always very fresh (limp bizkit, for example, does that very well) and adds something unique and special to that gig from a fan point of view and not just another gig that went by. That's what i think.

the fact you just name-checked limp bizkit eliminates any credibility you have...

It's not dumb at all. Plus, they'll obviously switch it up once the SOAD tour is done.

It is but I just wish they would try a new song to end the shows with just to mix it up

I was thinking Rats!Rats!Rats! Have them throw the crowd in a frenzy

i don't give a fuck what you think about my credibility, i like them, you don't, probably never saw them live before and you're talking my credibility or lack of it, grow up, and it's true, they rarely play the same setlist every night.

on topic: like i was predicting they didn't played any songs last night that they haven't played this tour

I feel it's all because of the internet. Now everyone knows everything, has the same shit and sees everything as it happens. I love it and hate it at the same time.

I preferred the older way of things with you either having the record/CD and the only live outlet was seeing the band live (with an occasional crappy video tape). It kept the mystery there for me but now I can see everything a band pretty much does. Like I said above, it's a love/hate thing.

No V I'm not, Passenger is my own personal favourite and therefore I want them to play it.  As far as the debate over Deftones setlists, what bands someone likes is not relevant to whether their arguement is good or not. They might like limp bizkit and a whole load of other bands that you really despise but their points about the deftones setlist could be spot on.
There's a mass without roofs, there's a prison to fill
There's a country's soul that reads post no bills
There's a strike and a line of cops outside of the mill
There's a right to obey and there's a right to kill

I respect thats its your favorite song but I have seen it played multiple times and Chino has seemed to really struggle with it everytime.  Definitely not one I'm missing in the setlist!

Yeah he does struggle with it sometimes you're right and they used to play it quite alot around the SNW era, but I still get a rush when I hear it live. As far as others songs go, once they are doing their own headlining show maybe they could throw in Lovers? They probably haven't played the song since it was wrote, but I'm sure they could dust it off without too many problems - remember when they played linus a few years back hehe?

I did see Lmp Bizkit live, I aw them get booed off the stage opening for Faith No More. And judging by the setlists I looked at, Limp Bizkit plays a greatest hits setlist every night and 95 percent of their setlist is songs from their 1999 and 2000 albums. They dont even play anything from their first album (their only decent album)

A year ago people were complaining the Deftones sets were greatest hits, they take a year off and come back with the same boring setlists. If I hear BQAD or MOS or CITHOF one more time......retire those songs, who gives a fuck what some casual fan wants to hear

I went to see them at Brixton last May and they played Counterfeit and Pollution, plus 3 songs from the new album (Why Try, Bring it Back, Walking Away,)and 1 from Results may vary (Behind Blue Eyes, that's the only song of them that made me cringe my teeth), so 6 out of 15 songs, that's hardly 95% setlist of Significant Other or Chocolate Starfish songs.  but that's not my point, my point was they change the songs almost on a daily basis, a couple dates later they played The Truth, Boiler, Gold Cobra, Shotgun, I'll be Ok, Faith which they didn't played when i saw them, that's why i said that they always keep the setlist fresh, yeah sure they could play a lil more of the 1st album although they sometimes do

Wait a minute, they actually played It'll Be Ok?  That's one of the not too many songs I really like by them so cool if there's a good/decent quality video of it.
Open-minded?  Here's some short videos to challenge your thinking:
