We still have 3 ish weeks before we can rule out september.

Their pattern seems to be 4-6 weeks from single to album release... more 4 weeks than 6.. so we still have time for September.

I'm personally still hesitant on it dropping in September just because Chino and Abe both seemed really unsure when they were asked. I mean, I get that they wanna give people answers (also, plans change), but this is one thing I've always appreciated about Stephen in interviews. He never sugarcoats his answers. Anyway, thank fuck we don't have to wait until 2021.

Good question. It's probably a mixture of a lot of different things: the label, COVID, Deftones constantly throwing random months out (I think Frank said April to a fan in February when Chino might not have even finished his vocals yet lmao). Of course, I'm just a guy on a message board and could have no idea what I'm talking about. It could be something else entirely. I think they are also just enjoying living their lives, so it could also be a "we'll get to it when we get to it" situation.

I think its a mixture of people throwing random months out, and the label. I remember back in early 2020 abe and frank said April, then Chino said June in a interview. This was all before covid so I understand. They should give us another album update though like how they did back in April

Yeah I'm with you at this point . The noncommittal mystery stuff was ok at the beginning of the year. But after prospective months being thrown out, leaks and verification that it's done it's kind of old. We want information right now because they've been spoon feeding us stuff for half a year already.

Definitely possible. But I'm would assume they'd be bursting at the seams and wouldn't be able to help themselves from dropping hints. Also don't know if the band would trust anyone. I mean. They can't even trust each other not to drop information prematurely.
