Quote from: DefFsho on Jun 27, 2026, 11:35 PMYeah, I dig that song that was taken out of ohms, Rain. More parts than others I really like. Upon just a couple listens it doesn't sound very cohesive to me, but like I say this shit always changes overtime imo

well now i'm a bit confused...i thought the ohms track that got leaked was named sensations? is this the same track or did a different track leak?
I believe it is the same song called sensations with rain in parentheses or vice versa. At least that's how I remember seeing it...did you like it?

Line by line, or (lie by lie) you gotta look like your life is a prize......................Aaaaaggghhh? Does somebody want to open a lyric thread? I'm asking so I don't get pistol whipped because I don't really care to start a thread or be a so-called leader in this group. But it would be fun. I just don't know if it's the time yet it's not my call.

Quote from: kitesvera on Jun 22, 2026, 11:56 PMIt appears the second vocalist on Brianna is Kurt Travis former vocalist of Dance Gavin Dance. He's on the song caviar which has a feature from Chino. Apparently Kurt himself confirmed its him.

Is there a way to find this confirmation?

It's Shaun Lopez, defsecrets lowkey confirmed it on the other thread. Plus, Chino Recorded Eros's vocal at shaun's studio (or at least, smile, as chino himself said)

Also. huge fan of Shaun's band revolution smile, and yeah that's totally him.

As a long time DGD fan, that is 100% Kurt Travis' voice. Check out the isolated vocal track and compare.

Chino sure likes diamonds above anything else besides waves and space and worshiped women.

Dang. What did the spreadsheet say? Just as a reference is all I mean. I think that's the one I just previously asked if it was Mike Shinoda? And I wasn't sure because I am not familiar with either singer I was never a LINKIN PARK fan.

Spreadsheet says of Briana "Track 11 on a leaked Eros album copy. This song was incorrectly dubbed "Dallas" by fans because of a YouTube video with that title being posted of the instrumental by the channel JG Productions in 2015. Based on fan investigation, the vocalist on the second part of the chorus is "Kurt Travis" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DayeLldPRg&t=1447s). The original file name briana9.29.08 was edited, however that date is the actual date of recording."

Quote from: DefFsho on Jun 27, 2026, 08:53 PMChi Cheng is the perfect example of a fallen artist that i think would have wanted his fans to hear music that he made. anybody who knew what Chi was like to us in the public, you know he's the type of guy that's like "fuck it. What's the big deal? The fans want to hear it let them hear it." that's what I think Chi would want. Along with Frank, Stephen and Abe. I hope his family can benefit from this somehow in the near future.. we have EROS. ITS OVER WITH FINALLY😊🥰
it is really great to hear this stuff, and in such a far more complete form than i figured it would be in. also, i'm having a very hard time hearing any bass/Chi. i dunno if i need to play it on proper speakers, and not just a laptop. what songs is the bass most obvious?

and the ohms b-side, rain, is great too

It would be quite easy for me to do a Chi Enhanced version of Eros, in fact i'd been wanting to do it. Does it sound good to you guys?

Here you have defsecrets's word on it (who has ties with the deftones themselves)

I also love Kurt's vocals and know he did some freestyle over the record, I just think his contributions didn't end up in the master file we have (much like mike Shinoda's harmonies on destiny)

BTW in case you didn't hear of Kurt's other band royal coda, go check it out! it's my favourite proyect of his

I did see that comment, but it's hard to tell what post they are actually replying to. I personally have zero doubt that it is Kurt Travis on Briana.

And yes, love Royal Coda :) Gold Necklace is pretty good too

Quote from: DefFsho on Jun 25, 2026, 07:58 PMThis is probably the biggest thing to ever happen on this forum. There's still a few names lurking around this place that I remember from those 2007 2008 days when they were dropping those I think weekly clips in the studio making this record. That one evil sounding jam that Chi and Steph were working on, I wish made this record. Also was really hoping to hear what Frank's work on that clip where he's playing that really weird synth electronic sound turned out to be, but it didn't make the cut. Would've been a sweet intro. But of course they've done 1 million things We've never heard that would b great to hear and see...Just like anything else. I'm surprised that a few of those older members haven't reacted to this yet to be honest. Who's the guy who had the little thumbnail picture of a stick man pissing in a dirty toilet? He was a dick but hilarious !!!  I'm glad I got to hear it, but I do get that it sucks in a way, but art is made to share. It wasn't shared correctly. But it was shared, and we are all enjoying it don't lie.
Many many old names have come back.  Penicks, Pixelsblur, Far Away, etc. - many from the earliest 2004 days.

Regarding the "evil" riff, if we're thinking of the same clip, then that would be Trempest.

Edit: referring to this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-hywI1emDHk

Edit 2: you're prob referring to this clip, i agree it does not appear to be in the leak: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Rn_OT-Jh4Y

Quote from: Deftones-argentina on Jun 26, 2026, 08:51 PMIn before we all dissipate until the next deftones record cycle (or leak),
I wanted to say I appreciate all of us gathering here every time sometimes significant in the deftones world happen;

As a kid I spent a lot of time here talking to you guys, having a laugh & discovering music among other things. Even tough I'm a grown man now and only enter a few times a year, I love having Sharing Lungs & DW as a constant in our lives. Much love to you all.

I havent listen to it yet. Im still kinda running on Private Music's fumes, but Im sure eventually I am going to. Curiosity will prevail, as per usual when it comes to Deftones. Tbf, I find a little odd it took this long for it to leak.

I still log in here from time to time, just not as regularly. And I usually dont post, most of the time. After the old deftones kid crew and all that dimmed down I got busy with life, etc. Nowdays, I read something new about them and I end up in here to confirm or deny it and see who is still around. Love to see old friends still posting, after more than 20 years (in some cases, lmao. We old).

Who is defsecrets and why should we believe them without question. They've made 3 posts on this forum.

It sounds 100% Kurt Travis, without being a DGD fan I could tell initially there was some emo influence on that chorus.

Good day, sharinglungs. In the spirit of cliche, I'll just get the whole "long-time lurker" bit out of the way. I've never been a regular member here, but I've wandered in and out of this forum since the days of Eros' original promo cycle, before Chi's accident.

After giving the Eros leak a listen earlier this week, I figured it could use a proper remixing and mastering. I see that others are pursuing similar endeavors, but I just wrapped up my own remixing project this weekend, and due to the "no leak" policy, I'm happy to share via PM with those who may be interested.

This was a fun project for me, and it is represents just one amateur's attempt to turn Eros into a proper listening experience. The leaked demos aren't really presented as "an album", so in pursuit of making Eros more listenable, I made some editorial choices beyond remixing/mastering that could be considered controversial. I want to be up front about that. "Diamond" strikes me as the album's natural closer, so I moved "Brianna" to a different spot in the tracklist. It's now sequenced between "Dallas" and "Margot", which feels like the right spot to me. Since we'll never know precisely what the band would have submitted as the final album sequence for mastering, I feel comfortable with this choice in the context of a fan remixing/mastering project.

Elsewhere, I cut "Margot" a bit short to eliminate some of the hot mic studio chatter that appears at the song's close; I assume those were inadvertent captures. And I also removed the buzzing intro to "Brenda" entirely. I'm not sure what the band's design was within that opening 50 seconds, or if they had further plans for "Brenda" that never materialized, but it struck me as a strange creative choice within the leak mix. It stalls out the album just as it's meant to get going. Now the transition from "Destiny" > "Brenda" feels smoother and punchier. I also cut the drumstick count-in at the start of "Trempest", because it felt more natural to move directly from the end of "Electra" to the opening chords of "Trempest". In all, I shaved 1:09 off the total runtime, and smoothed the transitions between each of the songs.

Once again, these edits were made in pursuit of making the Eros demos feel like a more natural listening experience. You may take issue with the little bits of creative license I've applied, and that's fine; you still have the original demo leak at your disposal. I did this for me, and figured I'd share with the sharinglungs community, since this is where the "real ones" are (and I cannot stand Reddit). Ultimately, I'm happy with how my remix and master turned out. It's certainly not quite like hitting "play" on a professionally mixed and mastered Deftones album, but it also comes across a lot more cleanly as a listening experience if you were going to play it between, say, Saturday Night Wrist and Diamond Eyes.

If you're interested in Eros [caliban's mix], feel free to drop me a PM.
