Code Orange - Underneath

Funny, that's what I came here to say. Reminds me of the same feeling I got from so many other amazing albums I discovered here.

The Black Dahlia Murder - Verminous

10/10 This is the best they have sounded since everblack, a complete furious album from start to finish, best song imho Sunless Empire.

A local band just released their first EP, I first heard about these guys when they were on the lineup for a smaller gig in my city. The venue was basically a big basement and these guys sounded massive compared to the other bands, I think they were only a 3 piece aswell.

Their style is pretty cool, it's kind of shoegazey but has heaviness and groove, kind of reminiscent of Hum in certain ways. Might have some elements Deftones fans might like.

Seems like vocals are kind of secondary, they are basically used as another instrumental low as they  sit very low in the mix even live but I kind of like the dissonance of it.

Highlights for me are  "Idle" and "Bottom of the Pile" though "Verandah" is sneaking up there.
