Could be just me though. Although now that I think about it those would lean more towards Crosses lyrics. Idk

That's what I hear as well but you know Chino be doin Chino things and the way he sings sometimes can be interpreted as two different words lol

I actually think he is saying Holy Ghost, Holy Spirit. The Milk of the Madonna is a direct reference to the Virgin Mary breastfeeding Christ.

This is what ultimately led me to believe those are the lyrics. Such a banger song goddamn

I hear no depeche mode. I hear LOTS of smashing pumpkins influence. Like Melon Collie b-sides. It's like if "Bodies" had a nasty little baby with "Mein" and it grew up to be Bruce Willis' character in The Last Boy Scout. It's like what SNW might have sounded like if the band had been more cohesive.

Might be recency bias, but this one song might be better than anything on Ohms or Gore.

I don't mind the delay, it works really well with his voice in general. He uses it live a shit ton, so I'm used to it. But his vocals are pushed back in the mix, same with MMIAM. I guess that's just how it's going to be on this album. I don't hate it but I don't particularly love it either. His vocals overall sound better than they have in years, so it's kind of a bummer that they have them set more in the "middle" of the mix rather than up front, like usual.
