I don't recall the exact time. Probably midnight local time? But it's very likely we'll all be listening to it on the 21st. It'll probably leak a day early.

I am getting old. I've been a fan since I was 16, and now I am 41. The wait for private music was the longest (5 years damn) but definitely felt the shortest.

It kinds sucks knowing that they might only have like 2 more albums after this maybe 💔
WHY CRUEL WORLD WHY 😫
My dad says Deftones gay, but he doesn't know real music

Also 41. Was a fan at 14. For me, this absolutely feelks like the longest. But since Ohms came out I have lived in 3 different places and had 3 different jobs. So it's different for me.

But we are here now, and so fucking close!
Throw your faith in me. I'll take you some place brand new....

I can't remember if it was one worldwide release time or not but I know that it was leaked the day before from NZ getting it first. I think.

Yeah, I remember first listening to it the night before via a cd rip or something. We always end up hearing the album a day or two early, so we really only have like 17-18 days most likely.

I'm 38. Been a fan since White Pony (I was around 14), but Self Titled is kinda when my real obsession took off. Been here for every album release since. It's legit one of the most exciting experiences. No other band does it for me in terms of getting this excited for a new album. Maybe Tool is a close second but they take so long between albums that it kinda kills the hype for me.

No history compared to you guys but,mid 2023 must friend recommend me deftones and I tried to listen to it and i hated it i said "to much screaming" [during that time I was really into slow r&b]

But late 2023 I decided to give it another shot because I was getting into more rock and shit like that

I fell in love with the music.

Only last year in November is when I fully listened to koi no yokan all the way

I was building a 1,000 piece Patriots football puzzle with my dad my room smelled like the Christmas acorns so cinnamonay

DUDE IM ALREADY GETTING NOSTALGIC FROM 9 MONTHS AGO 😭
Edit: yet again ive listen to each album so many times, swerve city is my #1 played song on Spotify.

2023 Spotify wrapped i listened to 8,049 minutes of music
2024 Spotify wrapped, js deftones alone was 8,658

Nice one :)

I think I first heard them in about '07 maybe? I was 12 and building a passion for music and every band I liked seemed to namecheck Deftones.

I think I heard Bored or Change first and ended up on White Pony sometime after. It quickly blew me away; it was the first time I ever knew I was listening to a genuine masterpiece of an album. There was a complexity of mood that I couldn't grapple with, couldn't categorise, couldn't understand much beyond the fact that it lured me in. Everything, right down to the timings of he silences between tracks, seemed perfect. The suggestion of emotions and thoughts beyond what was written, I had no comparison for. And the scope...wow. It basically opened up all of music to me.
I could float here forever

Turned 40 in June. Fan since 14. Had a couple songs on soundtracks so knew of them but then heard/watched BQAD late one night on mtv2. Been on here since it was the deftonesworld message board. Always enjoy seeing the familiar names pop back up on here during album release time.

Shhhhhhhhhhh

48 here. Been a fan since Adrenaline dropped. I was hooked on 7 words for months on months. Die hard ever since. I have the white pony  tattooed on my right bicep and crosses on the left. Took my son about a year ago he got the same.

Seems a lot of us are in the same age group here. Damn, I remember deftonesworld...

Started listening to them after WP. So sadly I can't say I was with them from the beginning, I knew the name and was getting into nu metal at the time, but it was an ex gf who suggested I listen to WP, and the rest is history.

I was at work one day shortly after discovering WP and MOS came on the radio, it was so exhilarating and I just knew it was Deftones but wasn't sure because it sounded so different than WP.

I went looking for their albums at cd stores (because that's what you did back then) and all I could find was Adrenaline. I knew it had to be on one of their older albums. I was kinda disappointed to not find that song but it was still an adventure and I ended up digging Adrenaline, and then REALLY getting into ATF when I finally came across it.

I remember when I bought ATF the dude behind the counter was like "too bad we don't have a used copy of that. But I don't know many people that would give that album up." He wasn't wrong lol

I checked Deftonesworld almost daily for years and years until the sharing lungs feed stopped earlier this year I think.

My mom said shes gonna email Deftones and ask them to sign my numbered one bc its near my birthday

I am 41. It was May 17th, 1998. Got to go to the record store with a family friend to pick out a CD for my bday. I bought ATF because a good friend of mine had once said "Deftones are cool" and I thought the chick on the cover was hot.

He drove a baby blue 1956 Buick Special. I had my CD Walkman thing with me. I popped in the album and hit play.

By the time the first chorus of MOS finished, I knew, instantly, "this is the greatest thing I have ever heard in my life". Still my GOATed album. Deftones' music is still my favorite anything ever created, other than my wife and kids. I am taking an 11 day vacation for Private Music :D
