These are 18 year old demos that leaked. Big fucking deal. Leaks happen all the time. Any fan or band member having a hissy fit over this is just embarrassing themselves standing on their soapbox and preaching their holy moral ground. If a bunch of Smiths demos leaked, Chino would be the first one downloading them.

Chino has dangled Eros like a carrot in front of the fans for 17 years. Every interview Chino went from "it will get released one day" to "maybe we will" to "heres a song from the album to wet your appetite" then after everyone got all excited it became "nah don't think so, it is never coming out. oh well tough shit"

So it got leaked. Bands far more successful (Radiohead) have dealt with leaks and survived. The Deftones will survive. They don't need your charity or sad posts about what a violation it is. I'd say it is more disrespectful to Chi to take his final recordings and lock them in a vault then to let the world hear them

That's cool, you do you. I wish it never was leaked. I am however going to hear it and listen to it and enjoy it if it's there to listen to and it is. It's weird that I just read your comment. I'm taking a walk right now in the neighborhood and was just thinking how much money went into the production of this record and all the time they spent away from family doing this and never got anything for it. So I get it. But there's no need to come on here and tell people that you will never listen to it. It's not gonna change anybody else. I do get it though. I like so many others have been waiting for this thing since the inception. And I just don't have the self-control to not listen. It's one of the biggest things I've ever had to look forward to in my life outside of life-changing things like childbirth and my wedding and all that other stuff like graduation. I guess what I really mean it is the biggest album anticipation from this band ever. Especially Long timers that went through all those dangling of the carrot days with Chino. But there's no way I couldn't. It's pretty awesome by the way.

Favorite moment is the second half of diamond. Would you call that a Solo? I would consider that a guitar solo and it's rare... cool song. Maybe not but quite possibly Chino's guitar Solo. Melanie, and trempist r instant faves. I did not expect at all to hear Mike Shinoda from LP on Destiny

I feel like some material on this record could have been a Team Sleep song:

Margot, Candy, and Diamond especially stand out.

It would've been interesting for Deftones to start incorporating more overt dream-pop elements.

Even tho this album never belonged to us & the way we got it was wrong, i do believe the way it came out maybe was doing the album justice in the long run. Knowing velvet hammer & how their creative team loves to defile their art, i really dont wanna see a bunch of ai visualizers for eros, this album is a time capsule & needs to stay that way, it was perfect as it was. It doesnt need to be touched by 2026 & all its shit. Just my opinion tho

Yup. And as far as a time capsule goes, oh my God was the world different than here in the United States. We were going through a major major recession, and I remember struggling myself during that year all the way till 2012-ish. Even though I graduated tech school in 2008 times was tough for the next four or five years. I had a lot of time to spend on the computer watching them make this thing sort of and anticipating it. Our economy was total shit. Thanks to the president during that time partially but anyways definitely a time capsule that needs to be left alone unless the band wants to do something, but I just don't see it
