Whatever happened to releasing Phantom Bride as a single? Was hoping for "Crest" as a b-side.

It was released as a radio single. B-sides aren't often a thing anymore since singles are rarely released in physical versions. Since DE the band have been very "what you get on the album is what you get period" about their music. Chino was adamant not to have any b-sides, covers or unreleased tracks from KNY and it seems to be the same way with Gore.

Which is very sad. I miss Deftones covers...
Seconded. Deftones do the best covers.

It's kind of meant to sound how Chino did it. Or did neither of you listen to the original?

I swear half the people on this site don't like Deftones.

Wtf sounds like a dying goat haha which not only features some of the most embarrassingly bad vocals ever captured on a record

Wish there were more interviews in existence that had less of the same old recycled questions.
So when did you start playing 7 string? 8 string? How's your tuning? When are you in the studio next? Eros? Zzzz...
Most of the time I just wonder how these tools manage to score an interview in the first place.

people are people

I'm sorry you're so pathetic that you don't know how pathetic thrice really are. Maybe thrice shits on you. Don't shit me!

BewareTheWater

Man, all I've ever seen you do on here is talk shit. Don't see what the problem is with Thrice . Don't they and Deftones go way back ?

No, they definitely shit on your life. Thrice has a discography of amazing albums. What do you have in comparison? Nothing. Hence, they shit on your life. Literally. They are dripping Black Honey all over your face as we speak. Just let it happen.

All jokes aside, liking Deftones but not liking Thrice doesn't compute to me. In a lot of ways, they are very similar. Both are bands that went way beyond their respective beginning scenes (nu-metal for Deftones, post-hardcore for Thrice) to make wide-ranging, border-pushing music. Maybe it's an unfair comparison, but I've always looked at Thrice as a post-hardcore version of Deftones.

BewareTheWater

Which is funny , considering Deftones have often dabbled in Post Hardcore-ish sounds before as well.

Definitely, just like how Thrice has dabbled in some Deftones-ish sounds on songs like Firebreather.
