When there's only been 3 posts on the entire forum in the past week, you know that things are really slow in the Deftones universe...

It's been over a year now since I last saw them... when the hell is the next North American tour?!  >:(
9/26/10 - Patriot Center
5/22/11 - Sunset Cove Amphitheater
8/7/12 - Verizon Center
10/26/12 - Ram's Head Live
3/8/13 - House of Blues
10/8/13 - Baltimore Arena
7/31/15 - The Fillmore
8/8/15 - Susquehanna Bank Center
8/3/16 - Pier Six Pavillion
6/14/17 - MGM National Harbor
5/17/22 - The Anthem

Hopefully it means they are hard at work recording something new. They usually take off for the holidays, yeah? So maybe expect something early next year.

ESP just released a new signature 7-string Stef guitar. I wonder if that indicates anything for the new album, or if 7-strings just sell better?

upscaled some random low res pics by using an ai enhancer, pretty good results: https://imgur.com/a/wf9TbC6

Pretty killer mashup of some Deftones classics, including My Own Summer, Beware, Change, Pink Maggit, Kimdracula, Rosemary, MX, Back to School, etc.

Penicks

nice touch to put that combat demo in as well

I don't suppose anyone's got that Hearts/Wires snippet from the studio that some guy posted ages before Gore came out?

Does anyone else associate their albums with times in your life? I'm sure you all do, considering the impact Deftones have had on us. I might have been unfairly critical of Koi on this forum when it came out because I went through a breakup the same week. I probably associate that album with my breakup, just as I associate their other albums with other points in my life (WP and S/T: high school/teenage years, SNW: college, DE: partying every weekend, Gore: moving to LA). Looking back, it's a good album. Still not my favorite, but it's good.

They recently announced their new White Pony IPA coming August 28th

Yes! That was such an epic moment with Smashing Pumpkins. Must have been amazing to be there for that. Chino does seem to sound really good if he's singing someone else's stuff. One of his best performances that comes to my mind is If Only Tonight We Could Sleep.

That kind of bums me out about the Woodstock sessions, I haven't really sat and watched any audience recordings of it tbh. There are of course many videos from when they were younger that were really amazing performances, such as Change on Letterman (I love that performance). There's another really good one (possibly even better) performance though right here:

and one of their best performances of MOS here:

That's really weird. I mentioned that in a different way yesterday in the Ohms post about how Chino sounds different and amazing when he does covers. I mentioned if only tonight we could sleep and ghosts ???
