Did Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan leak? I think they were both streamed early online — I remember my first listen of Diamond Eyes being an early stream on the NME website — but I can't recall if they leaked first.

Koi No Yokan leaked a little over a week before release.

Gore leaked because someone on here got the vinyl a week early, and the Ohms songs that leaked were from direct recordings of Chino's Mixlr broadcasts. Radiant City, This Link is Dead and the full versions of Error and Headless didn't appear until the day before release when they went live in New Zealand.

agree more. Especially the guitar tone part. Im also glad Chino didnt tried to scream his head off too much. I love the more agressive stuff but the dude is in his mid 50's, theres no way he can keep screaming like he used to. Its fine to just do it in small dosis if or when the music asks him to.

At least in MMIAM, it was the perfect spot for everything. Idk if Stef is using a 6 or 7 string guitar on the song, but Im glad its not a fucking 8, 9 or whatever the fuck. This is their sound I fell in love with. Its perfect, not too much chugging.

He just doesn't use the lower notes. The song can be played on a 7 string or 6 string in B Standard, technically.
I would argue that he is chugging a lot on this track. Only during the bridge he properly strums his chords

Im not a guitar expert but I believe you. If thats the case and hes playing 8 strings, the sound is really close to what I preffer, anyway. Not that their 8 string songs suck, I just find that old atf-koi type guitar tone better.

Which in the grand scheme of thing, is barely a leak. As soon as the albums are in the wild (aka in store) the album usually leak very very soon after.

I might be out of the loop because I don't really follow leaks that much these days.. but from what I can tell, within the last 4-5 years it feels like albums in general aren't leaking that far in advance anymore. In most cases, only two or three days ahead of release.

Diamond Eyes leaked in March and released in may.

He 100% uses the 8 string, and he 100% uses the lower strings. I'm recording it on my computer now on my 8string tuned to Drop E and the Drop E string is used.
