This makes a lot of sense. I remember reading and hearing in several interviews (even I think in some album credits) that some members, like Chino and Abe, refer to Chi as "Mountain Man".

Lmao right? Deftones subreddit looks like the Kendrick Lamar subreddit where everything is some cryptic clue teasing or self referencing something. Like, no.. They miss Chi very much, but Chino isn't writing lyrics about him 12 years after he's passed on. At best maybe some lyrics on Diamond Eyes could be interrupted as such, but beyond that anything moving forward is just that - them moving forward.

I think the music video releasing today is definitely an ode to Chi, but not the song or lyrics itself.

In general, I really don't care about internet points. But I do want to point out that I think I was the first person on Reddit to mention the correlation between the song title and the statement that Chino made about Chi being a mountain of a man. I am Swerve City in discord and reddit.

Also, none of this means it's definitely related to him. But it is a nice little coincidence at least

Yeah I probably sound like an insensitive prick but I wish interviewers wouldn't even bring up Eros or chi anymore. Shit I'd hate to be asked about a deceased band member who passed 10 years ago or an unfinished album from almost 20 years ago during a new album cycle.

I'm surprised labels will even shell out money for music videos in this day and age. I actually enjoyed the visualizer better than the videos when ohms released.

LOL, yeah videos not their strong suit. However "You've Seen the Butcher" is pretty good.
