I would love an instrumental album from them with songs in the same vein as Down to the Cellar.

But really, anything new from these guys would make me happy.

check out that waterscore ep or whatever it was called.. they have bunch of demo tracks kicking around that are mainly instrumentals. like "fucking smile", and so on

well I wouldn't say they're as enjoyable as 'Down to the Cellar' - mostly because they're a lot more experimental, while 'Cellar' is more of a "general instrumental song type". And yes, I miss  the El Cielish dredg with LOTS of instrumental parts, and when the actual focus was on sound. Yes, I may be judgmental, but I've never seen Pariah as a "instrumentally polished" album. There are nice sounds and all, but I just don't feel it the way I did with other albums.

Fireal1222

ive been on a small dredg kick again.. and i must admit. although they are still a great band... they were def. at their best during the release of el cielo... they had such a dark vibe to them.. i really miss the old visions concerts, and viva overdrive show.. when gavin was still fat and drew still had the long beard

I'm Not Here.
This Isn't Happening.

I know the answer  :D

Crazylegs

it hurts my eyes to watch him, looks like a caveman bashing away on the drums. I like his playing, but he should relax.

yeah, at moments he is _TOO_ excited, like that drummer from the country something band in a youtube video.

ben

Glad to hear they're picking up the pace for the latest album.  Can't wait.

Apparently dredg is aiming for a new album release in FEBRUARY!!!

Fucking crazy!

bright lights, big city

great news! but that puts the release under 2 years after The Pariah... doesn't this band normally take forever between releases?

so yeah, February, i'll believe it when i see it.

Bright Lights !..Why the fuck are you so damn awesome? Cant you be a piece of shit sometimes?

Jacob

really been getting into El Cielo again and it only makes me like their last album less. don't get me wrong, it's still great. but just as I said back when it was released, I think they're evolving in the wrong direction and I don't like how they're sounding more and more mainstream. I'm not expecting anything different from them this time around, but I'm sure it'll be an enjoyable album nonetheless.
pray nightfall release me
then i could wander, wander to deep sleep

The Pariah, the Parrot, the Delusion was also supposed to come out in 2008...
