In your dreams all we see are the gold drenched days laid ahead
Off we sleep and soon we'll sink in perfect pose together

What a great time to be a Deftones fan, holy shit. They really spoiled the fans with this whole rollout. And most importantly, they came through with an absolute gem with private music. I'm only liking it more and more with each listen.

three different channels streaming at the same time for about two hours which you could flip through.
they were playing random vintage films and music videos. the deftones stuff was their music vids (with sometimes the band's reaction as they were watching it on a big screen), live footage (nothing new), behind the scenes extracts and what's now been uploaded to their YouTube channel. culminated with a live set of mmiam, dai the flu, infinite source, entombed and motm

I feel like it took a few listens to really grow on me just because this album was so much to chew on.

However, I must now say that Private Music is without a doubt, an absolute masterpiece.

After that intro in departing the body where Steph's DOOMY Riff kicks in and Chino sails over the music . My God that's as good as it gets for me my friends. That's all I need. They made my favorite album closer of all time.

Steph has such a fresh sound on this record.

That creepy, haunting riff, with the flowing sounding air in the background sold me on the entire album on my third listen. Departing the Body is my favorite track as of today. What I like the most about this album is it has sprinkles of almost everything they have done, musically. It's like a perfect witches brew, with every album throw into it!

I think about you all the time is on another level. My favorite of the album.

Hope everyone enjoys or is enjoying the new album! The PMTV stream was incredible. Never have I enjoyed spending 3 hrs enjoying Deftones as much as I did watching that. The new album is absolutely incredible, and getting better by the day.

Well I listened to the album again and I stand with my opinion. Private music is a masterpiece 10/10 from me.

cXz is my clear favorite so far. It has a super melodic chorus, but the verses sound a little like the main riff from When Girls Telephone Boys. The band does such a good job of creating tension and heaviness throughout this album without requiring Chino to scream over everything.

Chino doing less screaming on this album, is what makes the album so refreshing to hear, for me. The chorus' let his voice soar, and it's impossible to not sing a long to it.
