Two songs that have grown on me: Ecdysis (quite complex at a first listening but it's awesome) and cXz (love the organized chaos feeling)

Happy to see some love for cXz in some places as it seemed like it was being treated like the black sheep of the album early on. Dig that one.

Also saw fantano seemed to enjoy locked club and ecdysis on his stream today which is cool I guess.

I don't think I've really seen anyone hate or dislike cXz, moreso just expressing that this has been the least impressive track for them in the short time the album has been out. I think the song is fine.

That's so funny, it's my favorite track. I think it's the chorus. Something about that melody sends me.

Shows how much variety there is to enjoy in the band's catalogue. Currently the one track I'm feeling hooked on is Infinite Source, it feels rather joyful, which I find refreshing, and I'm someone who usually prefers the darker/heavier stuff.

Man, actually after learning souvenirs real lyrics it made me love that song. If any of y'all are not sure what the lyrics are there read them and think about it. It's a great fucking written song.

Ecdysis is my current favorite after it was around the middle in my internal track ranking.

That chorus goes so hard, and the ending just makes me float.

Its also the first time listening to the record while being high. The layers really stand out then.

Also, Ecdysis seems to be about all the fires in California and all the flooding going on in North Carolina and New Orleans in the past few years and all the shit going on here in our country and abroad. It seems like Chino understands that that is what mother nature needs to do to cleanse itself of us. It's scary in the sense of when you think about it in real life, but what a beautifully written song, the snake shedding its skin, the bug shedding its exo skeleton, mother nature shedding what we do to her....I fucking love every track on this record. If I had to have a weak track, it would be MMiaM And it's a fine track. What a gem. I could go on and on about what I think based on the lyrics and the lyrics is really what stands out to me to be honest even on top of how great everybody is also ON ALL cylinders.

This is actually very true. Solid point. I am in this camp. It's not absolute trash to me.

yes. you can tell that everyone's feeling great when it comes to the instrumentation on this record. the overall soundscapes really remind me of white pony and that dark, spacey gritty sound it has at times (not to mention DE and KNY)

Crazy that after "9" Albums this may be Tones most experimental?

The push and pull. I mean we know why we love this Band. So many different takes on the best track, or a grower.
Kinda what makes this addition to the catalog so damned exceptional.
