soul seek is the answer to anyone's problems. you can pretty much find any album you want on that mutha.

i especially like these songs from a5a..."my eyes murdered charles townsend", "bite the bullet", and "around the world in a radio flyer." all from their "a tragedy in progress" full length.

uncalm

yeah I used to hate a lot of hardcore.

now I really like most of it.

Jerry_Curls

That's because you want to be scene.

But anyways, I forgot to add:

The Number 12 Looks Like you
Cattle Decapitation
Moving Units
The Intima
The Velvet Teen
The Black Heart Procession
Cursive
Murder by Death
Gasoline Please
Mister Valentine
The Hollywood Ten
Hot Cross
The Texas Chainsaw Mass Choir
Something About Vampires and Sluts
The Mars Volta
The Ellis Conclusion
Le Joshua
Sunshine
Find Him and Kill Him
Daughters
Drive like Jehu
and more.. :)
..Yeah don't go there,

I let you get to me

yeah yeah.

died20times

please no. none of that "scene" shit here. you'll just come off as just another pretentious scenester yourself who has to name off every obscure band out there to try and further boost your "scene credibility". those kids piss me off. they don't even dance at shows. they'd rather stand there and talk about how great the new Xiu Xiu cd is or some other lame ass band.

so, people are getting into hardcore. lets not look at it as a bad thing, but a good thing rather.

kisseveryscar

yeah really

but he did name only 3 good bands in that horrible list

the Number 12 Looks Like you
Find Him and Kill Him
daughters

died20times

yea i was digging his/her 1st list on the page before this a bit more.

Paint Your Lips

@ Died20times
i can't find shit on soulseek. It's so annoying, everytime i search for a hardcore band, it finds very few, or none, so i use DC++ instead, there are lots of cool hardcore places to go download.

@ 15 Stitches
just download the whole across five aprils album: A Tragedy In Progress
- It's really cool.

How many loves Wings Of Scarlet?
- It's fucking awesome metalcore!!

died20times

[Tribal Says] SORRY!

I hit the wrong button.

:(

[died20times Says] what did you do to my post!?  :x

haha naw, jk. it's all gravy :D

Paint Your Lips

Could you mention some bands that sounds like:
A Shroud Cast Over
Wings Of Scarlet

I got 100 dollars to spend on hardcore, so if you could help me out here i'd be very glad! :D

died20times

doesn't necessarliy sound like either band but buy The Bled's "Pass The Flask". good shit.

other metalcore reccomendations to take into consideration. maybe download a few mp3s of these bands first to decide for yourself.

a stained glass romance - the most hated ep (good melodic metalcore)
this runs through - until forever finds me ep (a couple years old but it kicks ass)
scars of tomorrow - rope tied to the trigger (buy this mutha!)
remembering never - women and children die first OR she looks so good in red(better than wings of scarlet)
falling cycle - the conflict (also better than wings of scarlet)
evergreen terrace - burned alive by time (if you don't already have this, i would suggest puting it at the top of your list! puts losing all hope is freedom to shame)
symphony in peril - lost meoirs and faded pictures (i think you might have this already. if not, get it. it's good.)
zao - where blood and fire bring rest (classic zao album and their best imo)
nientara - consequence ep (just another good band)
stars are falling - how many eyes have opened (extremly melodic metalcore)
luti-kriss - throwing myself (norma jean's first full length. not as good as their new one but still very good)
analog - the contention (i think you said you liked them. if you don't have it, consider getting it. its good)

Paint Your Lips

Bands i know:
a stained glass romance (like 'em)
Scars Of Tomorrow (didn't like Rope Tied To The Trigger as much as: Design Your Fate)
Remembering Never (sounds really cool, haven't heard the album enough)
Evergreen Terrace (haven't heard that album, but i think i'll buy it anyways)
Symphony In Peril (awesome band, gonna get their cd)
Zao (like 'em)
Luti-kriss (sounds boring. Can't get into it at all, same with the 5 EP)

I'm gonna check out Stars Are Falling. And the other you mentioned.

kisseveryscar

Rope Tied To The Trigger was really bad

all ZAO cds are amazing

i hate the bled
i hate remembering never
but yeah check them you might like them

died20times ( your name is??)

died20times

david, but i go by my middle name, terry. any specific reason you wanted to know?

dude....rope tied to the trigger owns.

Paint Your Lips

@ Kisseveryscar
I'm listening to it right now, just to make sure. I am def. going to get Design Your Fate.

Zao is great, but i don't like all their stuff. The song: The Dreams That Don't Come True is fucking amazing!

Paint Your Lips

Just listened to Stars Are Falling - Eva.

Fucking awesome!!! This is a great band, i'm def. gonna get their album!!

died20times

they're a great band. i heard they're vocalist just recently left though :(.

sucks huh? you learn about a new band and find out they have departed members or have just split up.

Paint Your Lips

Yeh, but it sounds like the new guy is much better. Sounds cool. Thanks for mentioning them, man. I'm def. gonna buy their album.

The list so far:
Wings Of Scarlet - before the great collapse
Norma Jean - Kiss the child bless the martyr
Poison The Well - Tear From Red
Beloved - Running EP
On Broken Wings - Some Of Us May Never See The World
Scars Of Tomorrow - Design Your Fate
Symphony In Peril - Lost memoirs and faded pictures
Stars Are Falling - How many eyes have opened
The aurora - leave a light on (maybe, but i think so)
Analog - The Contention
Complete - All systems go
Me Without You - (A) To (B) Life
Across Five Aprils - A tragedy in progress

Yeh, you've been away for quite awhile, dude.

What you tell me about Norma Jean is awesome news. I'd litterally cream my pants if they are going to get heavier!

BigDave

Its good to hear a few of you liked Arameus.  They're friends of mine from my town, theyre average age is about 19, so yea they have loads of potential.  The dual vocals are top, especially live, theyve played with Beecher and theyre playing with Eden Maine soon.  I think DIY is there best song, everyone loves it when they play it.  They used to have 2 guitarists, the other being my best mates brother, but he lef to join a 'ska-core' band, hes a better guitarist so it would be so good if he was still in it.
