This album may be the first time where the song I personally see as the strongest cut turns out to be THE fan favorite.

For me,
Adrenaline was Fist (followed by Bored)
ATF was Damone
WP was Pink Maggit
Deftones was Hexagram
SNW was Riviere
DE was This Place is Death
KNY was Graphic Nature
Gore was Acid Hologram
Because the best song is a clear cut here. LOL

I wonder how many of these they had to sign, must have been awful.

Naw, i can put money that's the band. It's easy to prove hand writing.

TSOMs rather phallic presence on the polls pretty much clears that up.

I can't wait until I don't have a pounding fucking migraine anymore so I can actually listen to Ohms again.  :(

As much as I've disagreed with you about things because that just happens sometimes, with anyone, those are all of my favorite tracks as well except acid hologram would be geometric headdress for me with acid being after that one. That's crazy to have eight out of nine but that's Only because they are the best songs.  ::) I also thought i was on a pretty lonely island with TPID. Thats some 70's a cid rock type shit right there. One of my all timers also. It was IMO a left turn for the band bc it was so different

I'm seeing an "end of the album" theme here

The intro of Headless is in my heart a beautiful tribute to this song:

Harold Budd has another song called Radiant City.

Yesss!!!

Such a great song, such heavenly art
Good evening... and welcome to the white pony

punkflop01

The wife and I sparked one, put the lights down low, and played the album twice in a row last night. I think I can safely say this album is up there with all of their classic albums. I hear fragments of everything the band has done since white pony, but at the same time they've pushed themselves further. This album is just beautiful - every single song has something that I love about them. I rarely feel this way about albums these days - Tool might be the only other exception.

Genesis is the ultimate centrist anthem

'I reject both sides of what I'm being told
I've seen right through, I finally achieve balance'

Headless is about 5G
"We're entirely insane, they claim
Yet, they'd like to violate our brain waves"

Just kidding

well, given the current scenario this could also mean he's too lefty for US politics (which in any other country would probably account for anything left of center-right)

but to be fair he's also stated in the past he's not into politics at all so he probably just thinks everyone in politics is insane (and maybe that biden is leftwing lmao)
i'm confused??

"We're entirely insane, they claim

that chorus always gives the hairs in my arms a full-on raging erection. overall Headless sounds like a mixture of This Place is Death and Rubicon to me for some reason, which raises the question:

what songs in their catalogue would you say are similar to songs from Ohms in terms of overall atmosphere and feel? IMO:

Genesis:
Diamond Eyes

Spell of Mathematics:
Geometric Headdress, Knife Prty, UUDDLRLRAB Select Start

This Link is Dead:
WGTB, CMND/CTRL

Headless:
This Place is Death, Rubicon

Ohms:
Swerve City? idk this one is fairly unique in terms of soundscape

not sure about the others, and there are probably more similarities that I can't remember atm
i'm confused??

Thanks man, appreciate it. Feeling a bit better now. I'll be fine for months and months and then for a week or two I'll have a skull-crushing migraine. Hopefully this one is almost over.

7.6 from Pitchfork is quite good..

More often than not, they are that one critic  that tend to be on the edgy/elitist side of things. I'd have expected less  from them.

The only "low " review so far has been from "The Guardian". Until Fantano comes in, and spit some of his Deftones  Hate mumbo-jumbo  ;D

Far away
