It's the german spelling of the city of Pompeii and it should be pronounced pom-pay-ee. There are several other languages writing it that way too, though

My first album was Around The Fur and man, I've tried to like Cherry Waves and Sextape and Rosemary, UGH Rosemary.. that disgusting ass outro, it feels so useless and tacked on.

What the literal f is this? Rosemary is amazing and easily the best from Koi

I don't get the comparisons to S/T at all. To me it just sounds like a continuation of KNY.

Rosemary is great until it completely reuses that repetitive Diamond Eyes riff at the end (if you're going to borrow from yourself, Stef, at least borrow a better riff lol). I like the trippy Smashing Pumpkins-like outro riff but it goes on for a little too long. Still a very good song, though.

I saw a comment on the Genesis video that said its like their older stuff married their newer stuff and I agree with that. The chorus is very KNY sounding but everything else harkens back to their darker, heavier days IMO.

Man, when I saw that title for the first time I just imagined it was a blend of the words "Pompeii" and "Jumanji" like is if it were mystical game like Jumanji but the only crazy effect that happened was that it created the volcanic destruction of that town to the players. What the fuck is with me?

Now you got me wondering why they chose that name in the German spelling. There has to be a reason I mean come on. And this is nothing against Germans because I am German but it's so random now that I know that. I love the idea though even more and I've heard that it's going to b revered as a Deftones classic today even though it's one person's opinion I can't wait to hear this one. Guys I really have a feeling this album is going to be top dog to a lot of people and I really think that everyone is going to like it as far as Deftones fans go. The hype just ran over the top...
